Pushbot

Note: the Pushbot is sold out and has been discontinued. Contact us if you have any special requests concerning this product.

The Pushbot is an open-source robotic platform with which to explore the use of dynamic vision to enact closed-loop control of movement. It takes an eDVS as its controller. You can control the eDVS and robot from the same command line. You can use the microcontroller on board the eDVS both to perform visual processing and to enact the control strategy of the robot. The eDVS also has inertial measurements integrated, and an on-board SD card for logging.

Pushbot1CroppedCropped

  • operates on 4x AA battery
  • operation time >= 2h
  • maximum speed approx. human walking speed
  • size 10×10 cm (base)
  • autonomous operation (through on-board microcontroller LPC4337 in eDVS retina)
  • optional WLAN connectivity

WLAN connectivity is achieved through the WLAN module, which can also be configured to work directly with the eDVS on other platforms.
